Found this place via TripAdvisor, and decided to try it with my Dad on a visit up here. Popped in for a pint and booked for evening dinner. Staff really friendly (shout out to Neil). Food was fantastic. We had Brie starter, followed by Slow cooked Pork belly and the Gammon steak. Both cooked spot on and very tasty. Prices reasonable for the food and service received. I would definitely recommend. As always, this was our experience in this moment in time.

28/09/2023: I am hoping to be constructive in this review. The pub is in a very attractive location and there are plenty of brown tourist signs giving directions. The pub has so much potential and the new owner clearly has enthusiasm. He was very welcoming and friendly. We were his only customers on a Sunday lunchtime. We were hoping for a traditional Sunday roast and were disappointed to be told that these were only served occasionally. The menu looked OK for a pub and promised homemade dishes. I am not going to dwell on the food but it did not live up to expectations. I wish the new owners all the luck in the world and really hope that they can make a success of the business.
27/07/2023: Visited for the first time today. Fantastic food (one of the best pizzas we have ever had) great service, lovely atmosphere, pleasant location, good prices. Will certainly be back. Thankyou. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

17/12/2023: The menu here is really very good.Different dishes and some usual favourites.The twice baked cauliflower soufflé (£8.50) was scrummy.The chicken, ham hock and leek pie was delicious. The mains are about£17;,:the staff are very friendly and welcoming. My friends had the Turkey Christmas dinner and said it was the best they had ever had.The parsnips were coated in a fine crumb that made them very crispy and lovely.We were too full for a dessert so had a coffee instead .The menu choice and decor is lovely. I would return here.Checkmthenwebsitenfor opening days and times as they don’t open every day.This is a community run pub that offers food of a high standard in very tasteful surroundings.
10/08/2023: Excellent pub. Great food and great beer with a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff were exceptional and went the extra mile. The ribs with Mac and cheese were 10/10. Can’t wait to return.
