The best restaurantsof turkish in Cardiff South Wales

29/02/2024: Lovely eating experience, that I was really unexpected. The boss fancied a late brunch. She had heard good things about Blossom, a Turkish restaurant,from a couple of her friends. I must admit that I was a little apprehensive, but it was surprisingly good. We both had Shakshuka. I've eaten this many times in the middle east. The Cardiff one was better than most of them. Lovely Turkish coffee, with a complementary piece of homemade Turkish Delight concluded this lovely meal. The service was exemplary. I took home some of their home made baklava. It is delicious. I will certainly come again.

18/02/2024: We visited Cardiff for my best friends surprise 50th! I’d done my research being afternoon/cream tea lovers and stumbled across this little gem! I contacted Selma via instagram and she was so lovely and always got back to me, even when I was asking her questions about how to get there, as it’s about a 20 minute walk from National History museum! (Thanks to google maps- walk function with lady telling you exactly where to go 🤣) we arrived and the place is gorgeous! A flower wall with swinging chairs, so lovely photo opportunities, plush comfy beautiful coloured big seats to sit on and bone china cups and plates. Selma greeted us so warmly and was so attentive and super lovely. I think it is a family run business as that was the vibe and I think mum was also helping who was equally lovely! I can honestly say genuinely this was without a doubt THE BEST AFTERNOON/CREAM TEA we have ever tasted! And we have eaten LOTS of cream teas around the country! From the sandwiches to cakes and scones we were in heaven! The food was sooooo good, the humus was the best I’d ever tasted, sandwiches original, scones crunchy of the outside and soft in the middle and the selection of cakes was colourful, enticing and absolutely DELICIOUS! Everything tasted homemade and we couldn’t stop smiling. Selma was super attentive, refilled our tea and just made us feel so special and relaxed. The walk was worth the trek! I urge anyone coming to Cardiff looking for a afternoon/cream tea to put this on your list, don’t be put off it’s a little far out from city centre it is 100% worth it! We couldn’t finish it so took a doggy bag away with us! If only this place was in Bournemouth as we’d be regulars as ALL the food and cakes that came out around us looked fabulous! Thank you Selma so much for making the start of our trip so memorable! 😘

20/12/2021: Been here stacks of times, probably 40/50. Every single time absolutely everything we ordered has been spot on. The staff are really helpful, I’m not always an easy customer and will normally find a bit of a special request. They always do their best! The place is spotlessly clean and really well run. Try the chicken meat with chips and cheese sauce! Great atmosphere, highly recommended!

25/02/2024: Me and my friends ordered some kebabs; two lamb Shishs and one doner kebab for take away. Once we got home we noticed some of the lambs shishs were not cooked properly and tasted a bit like left over meat. We also noticed one long single string of hair in the Doner kebab. We threw most of it in the bin, we felt very let down. We had to order Indian food instead for the night.

21/01/2024: Avoid like the plague. Thank me later. Awful hygiene, This place was shut down for food safety concerns by local authorities in the past. You can check it on Google. You will be surprised ! Also in busy times, they bring out frozen kebabs from the freezer and add some marinade to make them look fresh, then place them on the grill and then serve them to the unaware customers. I personally saw the owner dropped the kebab on the floor while taking it off the skewer, he then picked it up from the floor, rubbed it off his apron and placed it on the plate and then served it to the unaware customer. They did this in my view, imagine what they do out of the view!! Run to the forest, Run! Thank me later

08/05/2024: A delightful and delicious array of freshly made, and cooked, Far-Eastern Cuisine. Their home made kebab in freshly made naan is amazing, hence I've been a customer for over a decade! Samosas and Pakoras-a-plenty! Well recommended... The best kebabish in Cardiff!!

02/05/2024: By a mile, my favourite inexpensive meal out in Cardiff. Big spicing, big flavour: the keema naan is probably the best £3 you can spend in the city right now.

10/02/2024: Really disappointed with delivery. I ordered for myself and grandkids for my birthday . Firstly , the burger had cheese in when I requested without ( although to be fair, after phoning in, they bought out another without cheese, but when 2nd one came the bun was soaking wet and inedible ). Put everything in oven , till it arrived so we could eat together. Then realised that the order was missing the chicken strips and pot of chilli sauce. So one child had to share with us all . Not happy at all.

21/11/2023: Worst food experience I've ever had and I'm so surprised that it's from here. We've had food from here many times before and it's always been superb but something has changed in recent months as 80% of the food was inedible and went in the bin. Kebab was nice and the side of chips were fine too. The pizzas and chicken curry with chips were awful and all went in the bin after a few mouthfuls. They tasted as if they'd been absolutely covered in salt and after a few bites my partners mouth was really red and sore. We spoke to Jalapeños that said this was their usual quality of food but having been there before we know it hasn't always been so bad. Not sure whether they have changed hands or got new people in the kitchen but something has gone wrong somewhere. Such a shame as I used to love this place but won't be returning as we spent £45 on food that went in the bin. Have gone through Just Eat for a partial refund for the food that was inedible. Be careful ordering here even if it is a favourite as their quality of food now makes it inedible.
