28/04/2024: Food wise the tasting menu was v good and no complaints The downside was we thought the venue was strange, being in the middle of an open plan hotel lobby and definitely lacked atmosphere The positives it’s good to have great food in the hotel if you’re staying there, so a massive plus for the Kimpton If we stay at the Kimpton again, we’d probably visit Aizle , but if we were staying elsewhere we’d probably try somewhere else

14/04/2024: The food was amazing, and the service was impeccable. A great place to get a full Scottish breakfast. I arrived when the cafe was full but it was well worth a short wait.

22/04/2024: Went for dinner on a Thursday night. Good table by the window. Took a wine and had two nice curries. Host tried some Spanish and offer vegetarian recommendations. Amazing curries!

17/04/2024: Really lovely food and atmosphere, staff very kind and generous, even brought over a non-alcoholic cocktail for my partner's birthday. Would definitely recommend and go back!

17/04/2024: The classic dishes are well cooked and executed, and the sauces and spices bring a surprising twist. Both my parents and I enjoyed the meal even though we have very different tastes.

30/04/2024: Quite good coffee however, watch out for the sneaky 10% “tip” added to your bill. A tip is up to an individuals choice. Perhaps some signage or other communication would clarify matters relating to the service charge policy, as is a legal requirement.

11/04/2024: This was our first visit to this new restaurant. Our table was booked for 5.00pm on a Friday and we were offered the set menu of two courses for £29.50 or three courses for £34.95, we chose the two course option.The ambience of the restaurant is modern and clean if somewhat lacking in atmosphere but it was late afternoon on a pouring wet day. I chose the soup of the day and fish and chips. The fish and chips were a huge disappointment with the batter being soggy, the chips not crispy, the tartar sauce absolutely tasteless and the peas not fully cooked and luke warm. Whilst we enjoyed visiting the Heart and Soul of Edinburgh it occurred to me later that £29.50 for two courses was somewhat overpriced. Imagine my further disappointment to find on checking when home again from the main menu the fish and chips is £20.00 and soup £4.95. So in reality I had effectively been charge £9.50 for a bowl of soup. Normally two and three course options are priced to offer the diner an advantage over stand alone dish prices. I feel quite strongly about this and think the restaurant should rethink their pricing model. I suggest £23.50 would be a reasonable offering for two courses.

28/03/2024: Went to the memorial garden first the security man Jimmy couldn't be more helpful and took as through the museum to the restaurant where the food was very good and the girl who served us was very good as well will go again

09/06/2021: Tried here a few weeks ago. It’s a Nice lunch spot with tasty food. A Nice menu with a variety of options to choose from and different options.

03/05/2021: Had read amazing reviews about this place however was disappointed by the food. Just average, pancakes were a bit dry. Forgot to give us maple syrup which was annoying and had to go back.

08/03/2024: food was average, chicken too dry, quantity was scant, especially the chicken chettinad, had only 3 small pieces of chicken, small bowl of rice, 3 small pieces of naan bread, but prices were on high end. Thought they must of confused with the sample menu which they also have. Was disappointed especially seeing the outstanding reviews. Considering the many indian restaurants, they really have to improve

07/03/2024: What a wonderful experience. The food was typical Indian food and the portions where just right. The king prawn dish with all the sauces you expect together with garlic naan, a glass of nice red wine and a mango lassi, the best I ever had. All this for a price below 50 pound. Served by an authentic Indian waitress Niha and in a matter it made me feel good. What doubly want more on a nice evening like this.

12/09/2020: This place is a little gem! I had the steak crepe and my partner had the chicken, they were both delicious! Staff were elementary friendly as well and we will definitely be back before the end of our trip. Thanks lovely people!

26/11/2022: The service was superb. We asked for recommendations for our gelato selection and were totally wowed by them. Salted caramel kinder bueno in doughnut and salted caramel w banana peanut butter waffle. Totally sinful but worth it. We also had fruit and cream waffle. The waffles were soft and fluffy. Perfect afternoon dessert.

16/03/2024: Fantastic service and with smiles along with banter. I had the Wellington burger and omg I was not disappointed with it. Massive and tasty you should gi e it a go. I will be back

15/03/2024: Best double cheeseburger I ever had... Banter with staff was hilarious. Yes, I reccomend… Always a line waiting anytime of day.
